 The Board would like to send warm wishes and congratulate Paris
DiSanto, of Johnstone & Johnstone, on his recent retirement. As
many of you know, Paris started in the business in 1951 and was one of
the founding members of the Grosse Pointe Board of REALTORS®. Paris
was one of the owners of Johnstone & Johnstone when it was
acquired by Real Esate One, and has been one of the company's primary
brokers since then. Paris' colleagues will tell you that he has been a
trusted and priceless resource for years and many turned to him for
expert guidance. Paris' insight, advice, and generous contribution
of knowledge to his fellow agents was a fantastic benefit to our
entire association.

 The Big Open House GPBR has teamed with MCAR and the Detroit Media Partnership—the group behind the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News, along with Chase Bank and Land Owner’s Title Agency for The Big Open House, a region-wide community open house designed to highlight both the unparalleled variety of homes available to today’s consumer and the many great communities that comprise southeast Michigan.
Here’s how The Big Open House will work:
Agents in four counties—Oakland, Macomb, Wayne and Livingston—are invited to hold open houses on Sunday, April 27. The open houses will be publicized in a special tabloid-sized section of both the Detroit Free Press and Detroit News the Friday before the event as well as on an exclusive Web site. Municipalities and school districts within the four counties are invited to advertise events or activities held in conjunction with the open houses.
The event has certainly attracted a super-sized lineup of support, including some of the largest local REALTOR® associations in the state (GPBR, MCAR and WWOCAR, with nearly 8,000 real estate agents total), the two largest newspapers in the state and two notable sponsors: Chase Bank and Land Owners Title Company.
